SMP provides counsel for businesses and individuals regarding fair hiring practices, independent contractor vs. employee determinations, wage and hour compliance and disputes, safe work environment issues, wrongful termination claims, audits, investigations, and various other employment practices.  We represent clients in both State and Federal Court as well as before the Labor Commissioner, Department of Fair Employment and Housing, State Personnel Board, the Employment Development Department and various other administrative tribunals.
